Nedmag's magnesium salt is exceptionally pure and of high quality. As a result, Nedmag is one of the few producers able to produce almost ninety-nine percent pure Dead Burned Magnesia (DBM). Burned Magnesia means 'dead burned magnesium oxide'. Dead burned magnesium oxide can no longer react with any other substance. DBM is essential for the production of refractory bricks.
Steel and cement furnace coating
The refractory industry processes DBM into bricks to cover furnaces. Due to the heat-resistant properties of high-purity DBM, it offers a protective layer to furnaces that can withstand temperatures up to 2,000 °C for steel and cement production, among other things.
